Vaishnav Aradhyula and Landon Brownell, seniors at CFHS, stand at the base of the billboard touting the Catalina Foothills High School Chess Team 2007 Championship. These two players have been involved in 8 of the 10 National Championships CFHS has earned over the last 4 years. | Congratulations 2008 USCF National High School Chess Team Champions  Jerry Nash, USCF Scholastic Director and Coach Robby Adamson Victor Yee, Landon Brownell, Jenelle Wallace Eli Alster, Matt David, Vaishnav Aradhyula, and Kevin Zhang.  2007-2008 Arizona AIA State High School Champions Foothills dominated the event, winning all 4 matches, and finishing with an impressive overall score of 19-1 (maybe an all time record for points at State). The Foothills Team (above) consisted of (l to r) Kevin Zhang, Eli Alster, Vaishnav Aradhyula, Landon Brownell, Victor Yee, and coach Robby Adamson. Vaishnav, Landon, Kevin, and Victor won the best board prizes for boards 1-4. 2007-2008 AIA Individual Region IV Qualifing Tornament The top boards are shown in the last round.
