Location: Catalina Foothills High School, Cafeteria, 4300 E Sunrise Dr, Tucson, AZ. The school is located on the south side of Sunrise Drive between Pontatoc and Swan roads.
Description: USCF rated 4 round Swiss tournament in 5 sections: K-3, K-6, Booster (U1200), Reserve (U1800) and Championship Section (1600 Rating minimum). Pairings in the championship section may be manipulated to provide best game possible. Bring sets and clocks; none provided. Concessions at site.
Time Control: K-3 and K-6 Sections: G/30.
Championship, Reserve & Booster Sections: G/50.
Schedule: Registration and check in by 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Round times: K-3 and K-6 Sections: 9:00, 10:30, 11:45 & 1:00.
Championship, Reserve & Booster Sections: 9:00, 11:00, 1:00 & 3:00
Entry Fees: $15 if postmarked by 11/07. $20 thereafter or at site. Masters play free. Proof of current USCF membership required. If not a USCF member, please join USCF at www.uschess.org prior to mailing the entry form and bring a printout of membership card.
Prizes: K-3: Trophies to top eight places; top two K-1 players, top four teams (top 3 scores).
K-6: Trophies to top ten places, top four teams (top 3 scores).
Booster: Trophies to top five places, best K-12.
Reserve: Trophies to top three places.
Champ: Trophies to top three places, best U1800.
Medals for 2.5 points, if you do not win a trophy. Participation ribbons for all.
